Voortrekker Monument

The Voortrekker Monument, Pretoria, South Africa. Built to commemorate the trek of the Voortrekkers from the Cape to the interior. The Voortrekkers refused to live under British rule and treked into the interior of Africa, hoping to establish a republic under their own rule.
